OConnor, a Vitec Group brand and providers of innovative professional camera and lens accessories, introduces the OConnor Universal Camera Baseplate, designed to adapt small to medium size digital cine cameras (with on-center mounting threads) to the thousands of standard professional accessories available in the industry. The Universal Baseplate provides a sturdy camera platform that is engineered to allow optical axis centering of the lens to the correct rod measurement, and the ability to interface with standard studio bridgeplates for setups where large and weighty zoom lenses require rock solid support. With the wide variety of form-factors, from standard camcorder design to hybrid DSLRs and compact digital cine cameras, the Universal Baseplate provides the ability to adapt any camera to a studio 15mm or 19mm bridge plate by changing out the four vertical 15mm rods. Custom size rods available for specific cameras can be ordered from OConnor. The Baseplate also allows for adjustment up and down of any standard set of 15mm rods attached to the LWS rod brackets for smaller camera builds. The Universal Baseplate provides a channel in the top plate with a cutout plug to make insertion or removal of the 3-way camera screws quick and easy. The 3-way screws can be tightened by hand, with a tool through the drill holes, or by inserting a slotted screwdriver through a unique flip-up bottom plate access panel. The Universal Baseplate is truly universal, and is designed to future-proof the owner’s investment for many years and cameras to come. The Universal Baseplate joins OConnor’s growing family of lens and camera accessories, including the CFF-1 Cine Follow Focus professional lens controller, O-Box WM mattebox for 16:9 format full-size sensor cameras, and the O-Grips professional camera handgrip system.

Alphatron Broadcast announces the introduction of a brand-new product, the articulating mount for the Alphatron EVF-035W-3G electronic viewfinder. The EVF-Mount is mainly produced out of aerospace aluminum and has multiple axis movement to ensure the right position on the EVF is readily achievable & has ease of a fluid style operation for the cameraman. The top of the EVF-Mount, that attaches directly into the base of the Alphatron EVF, has a dampening system that enables the EVF to move with cameraman head if required. The actual mount part, directly attaching into the Alphatron EVF, is delivered in a fixed position on the horizontal of the rod. To adjust the positioning, along the horizontal axis, simply remove the end cap and slide the aluminum sleeve of the rod, then replace the end cap. The EVF can then to locked closer to, or further away, from the camera. The mount “shoe” has a specially designed indent so that the Alphatron EVF fits exactly into the raised profile of the EVF Base. Once locked into position the EVF maintains position during the shoot. No twisting on the axis. The standard version of the EVF-Mount is rod-mounted (rosette optional for direct camera mounting) to any 15 mm / 60 mm center to center rod support system. The EVF-mount is designed to operate the Alphatron EVF with vast majority cameras. |

If you are using the TRIAD VTA-7RS with this kit you can easily mount a follow focus or matt box onto the 15mm bar system of the tripod plate. The TRIAD support plate is easily mounted onto the TRIAD PL-FS100 converter.

The TRIAD PL-FS100/700 converter locks easily onto your Sony camera like a regular lens. And to make sure that you will always have a sharp image the TRIAD PL-FS100 converter is equipped with a back focus option, which is adjustable to get every lens the right distance between sensor and lens. The back focus has markings so you will know precisely where you need to place the focus and it can be locked down when the focus is just right. Note: The PL-FS100 does not fit on the Sony Lenses with PL-Mounts.
